House Teams
Our school is proud to have four house teams that inspire and motivate children to excel each week and strive for the coveted termly overall winner title. By embodying our core values and demonstrating positive attitudes towards learning, children earn house points throughout the week. These points not only reflect their academic achievements but also their behaviour and effort. Every Friday, the houses' accomplishments are celebrated in our celebration assemblies, fostering a sense of pride and community. In addition to earning points through their attitudes to learning, the houses compete in intra-school sports competitions, promoting teamwork and healthy competition. Special events, such as World Book Day, provide opportunities for older children to mentor and care for younger ones, strengthening the bonds within each house.
House Captains
- House captains are ROLE MODELS!
- House Captains are expected to set an example to younger children, to embody the values that the school holds dear and to contribute to the wider community.
- They help the younger children, both in the classroom and at playtime. They play a pivotal role on special days and themed weeks, assisting the staff in their planned activities. They also help with school events such as Christmas, coffee mornings and parents’ evenings.
- One important job is showing visitors around our wonderful school.
- They help organise and plan competitions and events throughout the year (alongside our Sports Coach), select teams or individuals for these and ensure that ALL team members know when they are competing.
- To attend school functions as required, representing both the school and the House.
