Residential
Every two years, the Year 5 and 6 pupils of Leafield C.E. Primary School embark on an exhilarating residential trip to Kilvrough Manor in Swansea, where they begin their journey of self-discovery and adventure. Nestled in an awe-inspiring manor house, they share dorms with friends, forging bonds that last a lifetime. Each day is brimming with thrilling activities: they delve into mysterious caves, conquer the waves while surfing, and feel the adrenaline rush of abseiling down steep cliffs. Amidst the excitement, they learn the values of independence and friendship, spending time with members of the class that they do not always choose to, cherishing unforgettable experiences that shape the next steps of their education.
Every child returns from the bi-annual residential with a unique treasure trove of memories and newfound skills. They've each taken something special away from the experience. The feedback from the children is always incredible, filled with enthusiastic stories of adventures and personal growth. This week away from home is not just a trip; it's a transformative journey, etching unforgettable moments and fostering a sense of independence that will stay with them forever.
