In Reception, RE and spirituality are embedded throughout the curriculum. However, more specifically through PSED (Personal, Social and Emotional Development) and UW (Understanding of the World), children begin to develop a positive sense of themselves and others and to learn how to form positive and respectful relationships. Children will begin to understand and value the differences between individuals and groups within their immediate community, plus, have the opportunity to develop their emerging moral and cultural awareness.  Children begin to explore the world of religion in terms of special people, books, times, and objects. They will also begin to have awareness about different and important places of worship. Children will listen to, and talk about, stories and real-life experiences from around the world.
